Australian shepherd

While the name might suggest otherwise, the Australian Shepherd is actually an All-American dog. ‘Aussies’ were bred to work on farms and ranches to help herd cows and guard the perimeter. They are independent and highly intelligent dogs that need a lot of exercise. An energetic owner that will take them out on long runs and hikes is what makes them happy.
